Staump Music School Summer Camps!

Ages	5 - 8 years
Cost	$175.00 per student
	These young students will learn how to rock out in a band! During the week they will rehearse a set list of two rock tunes, and at the end of the week they will perform their very own gig! This is a great opportunity for them to learn how to work as a team with their band mates, and how to apply what they learn to a great performance.

	Girls can rock just as hard as boys, and this All-Girls Rock Camp will give them the chance to prove it! During this intense week of rock, the girls will rehearse 3 tunes in preparation for a live performance and 4 hour recording session at Studio West, San Diego’s premiere recording studio!

	This year’s Rock Camp has an emphasis on original music. Students will write, record, and perform their own songs! The first week will consist of learning how to create a song. They will write lyrics, chord charts, and tabs. They will decide on the desired instrumentation for their song, and will teach their song to the other students. Week two will focus on recording their song. Each song will be recorded during a practice recording session in our Staump Productions facility. This practice session will prepare them for a final recording session at San Diego’s premiere recording studio, Studio West. The recording session will not be scheduled during the weeks of Rock Camp. Dates for Studio West will depend upon what they have available. They will learn that recording your own song takes patience, discipline, and creativity. Once the songs are recorded they will be sold as a Summer Compilation Album on iTunes! Students will each receive a $1.00 cut from every album sold. Rock Camp Students will also perform their original music at their very own gig, which will be scheduled for the evening of Saturday July 23^rd at 7pm.
